WTCSav gears up for all things Irish

Feb 28, 2023

While Savannah locals associate the month of March with Ireland and St. Patrick's Day, the region's relationship with Ireland extends well beyond just one month of the year. In December, the World Trade Center Savannah team welcomes TradeBridge Ireland Chief Executive Officer Claire McInerney Brown as well as a bespoke window company from County Carlow to Savannah. The group received tours of Georgia Southern University and the Port of Savannah, met with community leaders throughout the region and attended a World Trade Center Savannah Board of Directors meeting.

March is upon is and the WTCSav team is busy preparing for multiple delegations from Ireland to arrive. To kick off the month, the team will host a reception where stakeholders will share the most updated news related to Irish business, culture, sports and education in the region and guests will have an opportunity to network.

Looking beyond March, the WTCSav team is planning to lead a business delegation to Ireland in late spring of this year. lt's clear that the conversations and business priorities with Ireland continue throughout the year and are sure to strengthen as TradeBridge, an initiative that aims to create new trade opportunities between Southeast Ireland and Southeast Georgia and shepherd partnerships and business opportunities in Southeast Ireland, continues to develop.Â
