Savannah Manufacturing Center Nears Completion

May 22, 2020

A little more than two years after its groundbreaking, work on the Savannah Economic Development Authority’s (SEDA) 744-acre Savannah Manufacturing Center located off of Old River Road is winding down and ready for vertical development.

Work began on the $38 million project in April 2018. In May 2020 during SEDA’s virtual monthly board meeting, President and CEO Trip Tollison said there are currently seven active projects looking at opportunities in the park.

“I can tell you from the research that we’ve done, or at least I’ve done, there aren’t many sites or parks like this in the southeast right now that can say, you’re fully entitled and ready to go right out of the ground,” Tollison said during the board meeting.

“And so this is going to be a great tool and the overall chest that we have to bring in these companies.”
