Angélique van Hienen General Manager WTC Rotterdam

Oct 25, 2016

ROTTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - World Trade Center Rotterdam appointed Angélique van Hienen as General Manager in September. Van Hienen, who previously worked as an Investment Manager in the Drechtsteden region, has much experience in both real estate and in promoting international business. Van Hienen’s appointment follows the take-over of the office part of WTC Rotterdam by Bouwinvest Office Fund in 2015. This led to the close reassessment of the building complex and the organization, and a new direction. “Our goal is to further raise the World Trade Center Rotterdam’s profile and to turn it into the international business meeting place in Rotterdam,” says Angélique van Hienen.

“The position of General Manager at the World Trade Center Rotterdam includes real estate, promotion and international business, and as such it perfectly matches my experience, network and interests,” says Van Hienen about her appointment. “There is a good plan that will make WTC Rotterdam future proof. We are working on strengthening our trade and investment profile by connecting international, regional and local entities to each other. Internationally, WTC Rotterdam is part of the WTCA network of over 300 WTCs in 89 countries. This network is, or could be, of great added value to the 250 plus companies located in our building.”

“The WTC Rotterdam’s new direction includes plans for the building itself. Several of the office floors are currently being renovated, and work is underway on further expanding and updating the facilities such as the hospitality facilities, hotel, fitness, shops and general services.”
