WTC Pune hosted Port of Antwerp delegation.

Port of Antwerp and World Trade Center Pune jointly organised  a networking event recently. 

Port of Antwerp is India’s gateway to Europe connecting India to the rest of the European Union through Belgium’s dense transportation network and the largest container port in Europe.

WTC Pune enables international trade infrastructure and is part of 330 cities network in 130 plus countries.

Luc Arnouts, Vice President International Relations of the Port of Antwerp, together with a high-level delegation of the Port of Antwerp including Consulate General of Belgium H.E. Pierre-Emmanuel Brusselmans, Trade & Investment Commissioner Flanders Mr. Wouter Vanhees visited Pune and met with trade partners and association to understand the current scenario of maritime business after pandemic. Leading Pune based industry executives engaged in foreign trade were present.

Sagar Chordia , Managing Director-WTC Pune along with Niraj Khinvasara , Chief Innovation Officer-WTC Pune, felicitated and welcomed the delegation. 

Mr. Luc Arnouts shared global insights on initiatives taken by the Port of Antwerp before and after the pandemic for import-export facilitation.

WTC Pune along with The Port of Antwerp in association with our partner ‘New Globe Logistics’ are working on setting up an “India Trade Service Hub” inside the port of Antwerp to help Indian companies better serve their EU customers.

India Trade Service hub services would include; Warehousing, Last mile logistics from the port to all EU countries and value added services like  b2b connect, invoicing and e-commerce.  

 Through his presentation, Mr. Luc highlighted the merger of Port of Antwerp and the Port of Zeebrugge. The merger will reinforce the position of both ports within the global supply chain and will ensure the sustainable growth. The unified Port of Antwerp – Bruges will be more resilient to face the challenges of the future and will take a leading role in the transition towards a low-carbon economy.
