VERBIND Indian Delegates go to Canada

WINNIPEG, CANADA - VERBIND the Trade services arm of WTC Noida, WTC GIFT and WTC Chandigarh along with an Indian delegation participated in CENTRALLIA -2016, the event witnessed the participation of more than 1000 business leaders from more than 35 countries, 5000 B2B meetings, 100 exhibitors and 20 World Trade Centers. The event was inaugurated by the Federal Minister of Natural Resources Mr. Jim Carr. Mr. Carr appreciated the efforts of VERBIND and WTC in its effort to foster trade relations between both the countries.

The main objective of the delegation was to provide Indian companies the global access and to help them expand their business territories especially in the thriving region of Americas. The other objective of the delegation was to project and assure Canadian companies various business opportunities in the World’s fastest growing economy i.e India. VERBIND in its commitment to provide global access to local companies and local access to global companies undertook various meetings with various companies, trade promotion organizations. In the meetings it was assured that VERBIND the trade services arm of WTC Noida, WTC GIFT, WTC Chandigarh will play a stellar role and be a one stop shop for Canadian companies willing to venture into India. VERBIND will facilitate its entry into and extend all its support to begin and expand their operations in India.

WTC Noida and VERBIND’s ED Ms. Khair Ul Nissa Shah was one of the distinguished speakers in the Americas session, which deliberated on growing trade relations between the Americas and other regions. The CEO of WTC Winnipeg Ms. Mariette Mularie praised the efforts of VERBIND the trade services arm of WTC Noida, WTC GIFT & WTC Chandigarh in the public forum for participation of the Indian delegation to the event.The delegation comprised companies and organization from different parts of India in manufacturing and services sector as well notably among them were Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Executive Director, Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts, Galaxy Enterprises, G N Enterprises, SRS Technocrats.

The delegation also visited Toronto wherein meetings with many trade promotion organizations, business enterprises and were held. A separate meeting with the Consul General of India was also held to promote trade ties with Canada.

The Consul General of India expressed his intent on organizing a Make in India show in Toronto and solicited VERBIND’s support in its planning and execution due to close proximities of VERBIND with other trade associations in the region. Meetings were conducted with WTC Toronto, Toronto Region Board of Trade, Canada India Business Council President and CEO Mr. Gary Comerford and also with Mr. Sanjay Makkar, National President of India Canada Chamber of Commerce. Many issues and areas of cooperation were discussed so as to promote the trade between both the nations especially in the areas of innovation & technology, agriculture, clean energy and finance. Strategic alliance with these organizations was also discussed so as to help Canadian companies willing to enter into India and Indian companies exploring the Canadian market.

The delegation was highly successful in its visit to Canada and VERBIND the trade services arm of WTC Noida, WTC GIFT, WTC Chandigarh will continue to work towards promotion of trade and creating new avenues for Indian and International companies.
