World Trade Center, NDITA has joined hands with the West Bengal Government to promote business opportunities in the state via the state’s annual business summit, Bengal Global Business Summit.
Overview of Bengal Global Business Summit
The Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) is an annual flagship event organized by the Government of West Bengal to showcase the business readiness and investment potential of the state. The upcoming 7th edition of BGBS is scheduled to take place on November 21-22, 2023 in Kolkata. The summit aims to bring together corporate leaders, business delegations, entrepreneurs, academia, and think-tanks from around the globe for strategic and business alliances.
Highlights from BGBS 2022
The 6th edition of BGBS held in April 2022 was a successful global investment mega event, attended by 4300 participants from 42 countries marking the state’s resilience and growth . The event featured 3 plenary sessions, 8 sectoral sessions, and 5 country sessions with top corporate leaders and political dignitaries. A total of 137 MOUs, Letters of Intent (LoI), and Expressions of Interest (EoI) were signed, proposing investments of $41 billion with a potential to generate 4 million jobs.
