WTC Moscow and WIPO Forum: Intellectual property

WTC Moscow Thematic Section: Current issues of intellectual property objects’ commercialization and their enforcement in modern practice;

On 25th of April 2017 World Trade Center Moscow and World Intellectual Property Organization organize a thematic section on intellectual property commercialization in the framework of the International Forum "Intellectual property - XXI". 


At the event the representatives of 

  • the WIPO Bureau, 
  • the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, 
  • the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation; 
  • the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, 
  • Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation, 
  • ROSPATENT, 
  • The Chamber of commerce and industry of the Russian Federation Committee on Intellectual Property 

will be present to discuss the current issues and the possible way forward in the development of the intellectual property role in the Russian economy.

Peter Lindholm, Innovation Policy Counsel of the World Bank will be presenting the "Commercialization of Science in Russia: "To Be or Not to Be": Current Challenges and Trends" report with the international look at the issue. The following three round tables will gather the specialist in the field in order to present, discuss, argue and agree on the three major topics of the main theme in order for the conclusions to be presented to the business community and policymakers at the Chambers of commerce of the Russian Federation the day after.

  • Round table 1: "Current issues in the intellectual activity results’ commercialization. The first results of the WTC Moscow Special Project "IPlatform - Investments in Intellectual Property".
  • Round table 2: "Current issues of legislation improvement based on the measures' implementation practice in the field of the RIA rights management created using the state funds"
  • Round Table 3: "Trademarks. Brands in the modern world"
