A RACE TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP AT WTC MARSEILLE P.

Jul 23, 2015

MARSEILLE, FRANCE â€“ With its new space of Coworking, the World Trade Center Marseille Provence has gone into a race to entrepreneurship.

Cowork’in WTCMP is a coworking space in the city center of Marseille that allows you to develop your organization thanks to a positive working environment : offices, Internet connection, animations … This is why, since early July, the association “Entrepreneuriales PACA” is located in the Cowork’in WTCMP to get fully prepared for the season 4 of their innovative education program. Indeed, this program is devoted to students from every cultural origin and each pathway to increase entrepreneurship.

In the same spirit of support for the innovation, the entrepreneurship and the development of the local economy, they associated themselves with a new project since July 1st: Le Grand Sprint.

Le Grand Sprint is an experience launched by a few young entrepreneurs from Aix-en-Provence and Marseille in order to create optimum conditions to move from project to actual market in 14 weeks. Group dynamic, backing, skills, and goodwill are the key words of this adventure.

In practice, 8 start-ups benefit from a space 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during 14 weeks and the support of 15 mentors came to share their experiences and skills. It is really about supply them during 92 days in a positive environment with all necessary tools for their implementing projects.

Why this project? The aim is to maximize their chances of success in Aix-en-Provence and Marseille even though their ambitions are international, in sharing their experiences, ideas, and competences of each person. The diversity of profiles is rich, both within start-up and person around them like partners, speakers, mentors and ambassadors. This initiative contributes to reinforce France's assets.

With the rising number of start-up, be a part of a community has become essential. Born in 2005, the Coworking is a widespread practice in the word with more than 6000 spaces. However, this concept is more accessible for entrepreneurs that already have resources and tools to develop themselves, leaving a large target of young entrepreneurs without meaningful resources.

This is in this perspective that the Cowork’in WTCMP has graciously offered its premises from July until September to contribute to the rise of Hashtag Trophy, Pushcontact, Zipli, Light4events, Elokenz, La Criée, Ma petite Poulette, Drimstars and the 8 « Sprinters».

Antoine Guyon, initiator of “Le Grand Sprint”, has organized on Tuesday, July 21st at 6:30 pm, an opening meeting during an afterwork at the Cowork’in WTCMP. The guest of honour: Alexandre Durain, co-founder of So-Buzz has testified on the success of his local start-up, which is successful in all France. Regularly, entrepreneurs who have succeeded will come to share their story and advices. This is an opportunity for the public to discover more about these 8 start-up who have gone into this experience.
