The China Business Alliance and the World Trade Center Shanghai recently invited Hugh Sinnock, vice president of customer experience for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) to talk about how trade channels to the United States can open through trade shows. Sinnock, who is also a World Trade Center Las Vegas representative, visited the cities of Guizang, Wuxi and Shanghai where he met with fellow World Trade Center representatives. 

Sinnock explained that Las Vegas is the launching site for thousands of products every year. For example, during the 2015 International CES®, more than 20,000 new products were previewed. By participating in trade shows like International CES, China-based companies can meet with buyers from all around the world in one easy location. He also discussed the importance of growing international visitation to Las Vegas, the value of the WTC designation to the destination and the enormous potential of the Global Business District, the planned expansion and renovation of the Las Vegas Convention Center, for adding jobs and growing the Las Vegas economy.

Sinnock also toured the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center, where the inaugural CES Asia™ will be held May 25-27, 2015. CES Asia™ will serve as the premier event for the consumer technology industry, showcasing innovation in the Asian marketplace. Registration is open now.
