WTC Las Vegas Attends US-China Summit in Chengdu

CHENGDU, CHINA - Hugh Sinnock (WTC Las Vegas) and Michael Runde (WTC Dulles Airport) recently attended the US-China Innovation and Investment Summit, held in Chengdu, China from May 10-11, 2017.

This international event was hosted by the Chengdu Municipal People’s Government, China Science and Technology Exchange Center and the US China Innovation Alliance (UCIA). More than 120 participants attended the event, which included a variety of presentations as well as a tradeshow with more than 40 technology exhibitors.

Sinnock addressed the group on “Technology in the Tradeshow World”, and Runde spoke on the WTC-Dulles strategy of providing support and assistance to emerging industries interested in establishing U.S. based operations.

During the course of the summit, Sinnock and Runde had an audience with Luo Qiang, the Mayor of Chengdu, as well as the Chairman Director of Promotion for Chengdu. They also were provided a tour of Chengdu’s newest convention center, the Western China International Expo City.

WTC Las Vegas and WTC Dulles Airport signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2011. Under the agreement, the organizations co-market under the World Trade Center brand creating access to key trade information, market research, and facilitate business trade missions. 

In addition to the MOU with WTC Dulles Airport, the WTC Las Vegas has agreements with WTC Santiago, WTC Seoul, WTC Montevideo, WTC Taipei, WTC Mexico City, WTC Brussels, WTC Beijing, WTC Miami and WTC Istanbul.

The LVCVA also has a Memorandum of Understanding with the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration to promote travel and tourism exports.
