MILAN, ITALY - Celebrating its 90th anniversary, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) organized its 82nd Annual Congress in Milan, Italy on November 4-7th.

Recently showcased its plans to expand the already biggest fairground of Turkey, Istanbul Expo Center, World Trade Center Istanbul, also represented in UFI’s Board of Directors, attended the event with a delegation. Caused excitement among the exhibition industry professionals, the new investment is projected to make Istanbul Expo Center among the biggest fairgrounds globally. The expansion project was announced on October 20th at the launch event for the press. It is expected to be Turkey’s biggest investment in exhibition industry with 500 million USD project cost.

The UFI Congress, entitled “The Exhibition Industry 2030”, was hosted by Fondazione Fiera Milano at MiCo Congress Center, with 449 participants representing 283 companies from 53 countries. The conference program included plenary sessions, parallel meetings, meetings of the macro-regional chapters and many networking opportunities.
