CONGRATULATE JEANPHILIPPE FAURE AS IEEE-SASB CHAIR

We congratulate our business center resident Jean-Philippe Faure CEO of Progilon on his appointments as Chairman of the IEEE-SA Standards Board and as member of the IEEE-SA Board of Governor.

The IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA) is a leading consensus building organization that nurtures, develops and advances global technologies, through IEEE (The world’s largest professional association for the advancement of technology with more than 426,000 members in 160 countries).

IEEE-SA provides a global forum for standards development with over 20,000 active standards developers, 7,000 individual SA members and 200+ corporate SA members. At any time, IEEE has an active portfolio of nearly 1,300 standards and more than 550 projects under development, including the well-known IEEE 802® family of networking standards.
Established and appointed by the IEEE-SA Board of Governors the IEEE-SA Standards Board (SASB) encourages and coordinates the development and revision of IEEE standards. This includes approving the initiation of IEEE standards projects and to reviewing them for consensus, due process, openness, and balance. The SASB gives final approval to IEEE standards prior to publication and processes all necessary appeals.

Jean-Philippe Faure, with 10 years involvement and being successively:

  • Chair of the IEEE P1901 “Broadband over Power Line Networks: MAC and PHY Layer Specifications” Working Group
  • Chair of the IEEE ComSoc Power line Communications Standards Committee
  • Member of the IEEE-SA Standards Board
  • Chair of the IEEE-SA Audit Committee has been appointed as the Chair of the IEEE-SA Standards Board and appointed as member of the IEEE-SA Board of Governor for 2016. Please join us in congratulating Jean-Philippe.
