WTC Goa Organizes MDP on Developing an Export Plan

GOA, INDIA - World Trade Centre Goa, organised a Management Development Programme (MDP) on “Developing an Export Plan- with a focus on BRICS” on October 13, 2016.

Mr. Virendra Gupte, Advisor who was the Head of Trade Services at Tata International Limited and Senior Faculty of World Trade Center Institute, Mumbai, was the resource person. Mr. Gupte dealt with the current global business scenario of India’s international trade, as well as the economic grouping, such as BRICS countries, which has a high potential for the overall world trade. He highlighted the importance of the international trade which is far complex in nature and how one needs to do a systematic and in depth analysis like SWOT/PEST analysis for each potential country and understanding the challenges posed by each geography under different parameters, which starts from developing the realistic and appropriate Vision, Mission and Values which requires leadership focus, commitment and foresight, which is very important to have clear principles for conducting business in a fair and ethical manner to build business reputation and BRAND over a period of time and to create sustainable value for stake holders. It is very important to have ethical conduct, trust and consistency in quality and delivery, which gives the recognition to your business entity.

Earlier Mr. Manguirish Pai Raikar Advisor – World Trade Centre Goa, in his opening remarks, highlighted the opportunities that are available, even when there is an economic slowdown worldwide. It is the innovation and the business enthusiasm that will help to attain the desired place in the global market.

Mr.A.O. Kuruvilla Advisor – Trade and Education, World Trade Centre Mumbai, introduced the Resource person Mr. Virendra S. Gupte - Consultant & Senior Faculty of World Trade Center Institute Mumbai to the participants and also shared the role played by WTC for the promotion of international trade.

The meeting was attended by around 20 people from trade businesses.

Mr. Cyril Desouza - Assistant Director – Trade Promotion, World Trade Centre, Goa, presented the vote of thanks to the eminent speaker, and participants.
