WTC Goa Meeting with Chinese Business Delegation

GOA, INDIA - World Trade Centre Goa organized an interactive meet with a four member delegation from China on October 13, 2016. This delegation was the part of a high profile Chinese business delegation to attend the 2016 BRICS Summit. The delegation was led by Mr Paul Cho Kwai Shun, Chairman, who is also heading the overseas Chinese Community in India.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Paul explained the opportunities available to the Chinese investors in India. He highlighted the opportunities available in core sectors like, Tourism, Pharmaceuticals, Solar Energy and Infrastructure.

Accompanying Mr Paul were Mr Baizhan Chen and Mr Anjing Chen, both Vice President's of the Shenzhen 3TTF Technology CO., LTD which is preparing to enter into a Joint Venture with the State to set up a 3D Printing Hub. Mr Paul also mentioned that the BYD Auto was also keen on setting up shop in the state to service electric buses that they will manufacture with Tata Motors. He also expressed that since a number of Chinese delegates are visiting Goa during the BRICS Summit, they will be exposed to the tourism sector in the State which will generate opportunities for both countries.

Earlier Mr M P Raikar, Advisor to WTC Goa, welcomed the delegates and apprised them on the investment potential as well as the Business opportunities available for the Chinese Companies located in Goa.

Mr A O Kuruvila, Advisor - Trade & Education, WTC, Mumbai, briefed the delegates about the WTC in Goa and the activities it has been undertaking since the last one year and also invited them to use the services of WTC Goa for their future business visits to the State.

Around 20 participants for Business, Trade and media and other organizations attended the meeting as delegates.
