LEAPFROGGING YOUR ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY BARRIERS

GOA, INDIA - WTC Goa officials organised an interactive seminar promoting Make in India, a concept initiated by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. First in Series: "Leapfrogging the Barriers in Your Entrepreneurial Journey" was conceptualised with aim to create awareness on Building Sustainable Entrepreneurship in the state. The event was co-organised in association with Centre of Incubation & Business Acceleration, CIBA and International Centre Goa, ICG on April 15, 2016 at 3 p.m., at the International Centre of Goa Hall, Dona Paula.

Mr. Manguirish Pai Raiker, Advisor, WTC Goa embarked on the concept of Start Ups, it's relevance and the importance of nurturing new generation entrepreneurs. "The event aims at promoting the Start Up culture, which is accomplished by a churning motive to Source the desired Angel Funding, Acquire Incubation facilities and Building Sustainable Entrepreneurship", mentioned Raiker. He reiterated various benefits proclaimed under the Start Up India scheme by Government of India, are exemplary in nature such as No labour law applicability for 3 years, Income Tax holiday, Easier registration process as well as Finances to be made available for these units

Mr. D S Prashant, GM, CIBA encouraged the participants to build their own dream enterprise, while equating the process with that of climbing the Mount Everest in each one's life. Mr. Prashant's words like, "The challenges will definitely arrive in the journey, however there are organisations like CIBA, which provide full support to overcome the barriers and achieve the unachievable", induced entrepreneurial zeal among those gathered.

Mr. Mangirish Salelkar, CEO & Co-Founder, UMANG Software enumerated various lessons learnt, while running his own venture from Goa. "The company is among the very few Goan listed exporters of the Software products overseas", pronounced Salelkar.

Mr. Sanjay Parmar, Manager, Canara Bank, also informed about the various financial schemes and assistance provided by the Government of India, through the banks and encouraged people to avail of the benefits, while he congratulated WTC Goa for creating awareness on building sustainability enterprises.

Ms. Ambika Dhakhenkar, Asst. Mgr, WTC Goa welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering, while also introducing the Make in India series concept of World Trade Centre Goa. This unique initiative will promote the Goan enterprises on International level, as esteemed members of the world-renowned trade body, help grow the economic health of the state and boost foreign investments on the Indian soil.
