The 2016 Premier's State-of-the-Province Address

On April 14, 2016, Alberta’s NDP government will release the 2016-2017 provincial budget, a document that promises to be one of the most anticipated in the province’s storied history.

With a projected deficit of $10.4 billion driven by slumping oil prices, Premier Rachel Notley and her caucus colleagues face considerable challenges and a host of difficult decisions in putting forth this crucial budget. Job creation, economic diversification, maintaining essential services and infrastructure, the long-term outlook for recovery of oil prices: these are just a handful of the critical factors to be considered in the province’s forthcoming budget plans.

On Friday, April 15th, the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce welcomes Premier Rachel Notley to discuss both this historic budget and her vision for the future in the Premier’s State-of-the-Province Address Luncheon.
