COLONIA DEL SACRAMENTO, URUGUAY - On September 23, at the Sheraton Hotel, the World Trade Center Colonia del Sacramento held its first event since joining the WTCA family. While we continue working in the future real estate development, we launched the WTC Colonia del Sacramento Business Club, with a reception ceremony, lunch, informative presentation, awards and recognition to the companies who support us.

The schedule began with a inspiring words of our president, Alberto Forti, who recalled his first steps in Uruguay and welcomed those present.

Then came greetings of Mr. Carlos Ronderos, Regional Development Manager for Latinamerica, who could not attend but sent a video in which welcomed the WTC Colonia del Sacramento as a new member of the Association. We also had the honor of being accompanied by representatives and envoys of WTC Buenos Aires (Argentina), WTC São Paulo (Brazil), WTC Asuncion (Paraguay), WTC Belo Horizonte (Brazil), WTC Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia) and WTC Ciudad del Este (Paraguay), with some of which we took the opportunity to sign cooperation bilateral agreements.

The exclusive event brought together top-level businessmen and renowned personalities of the country, in a stunning U-shaped table, in which seventy guests enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and delicious food.

Thirty leading businessmen of different areas from Argentina and Uruguay were awarded as the Business Club's Honorary Founding Members and they received their membership cards and gifts from the hands of Marcelo Jaime (CFO), Enrique Rebaudengo (Project Manager) and the rest of the Board. Then, Germán Forti and Daniel Coronel (Business Club Directors) presented the action plan, the Club's operation and the benefits of belonging. The Business Club's the Founding Act was publicly read and endorsed by Founding Members and by the rest of the Board of WTC Colonia del Sacramento.

The event attracted the attention of the media, with more than twenty five accredited journalists and photographers, from television channels, radio stations and major newspapers of Uruguay and Argentina; and it had great impact among the guests, who were satisfied with the organization and excited about the promising future of this project, which will be an important milestone in the history of the city and the region.
