Representatives from Chongqing World Trade Center (WTC) had finished their visit to Taiwan, including the Taipei WTC, Taiwan Council for Industrial and Commercial Development (TCICD).

From February 7 to 14 in 2012, Chairwoman of Chongqing WTC Ms. Li Shirong, Secretary-General Mr. Spencer Wu and their delegation visited Taipei WTC—the strategic partner of Chongqing WTC. Their visit included the exhibition stadium and other facilities there. Besides the initial meeting with the prestigious Taiwan's Council for Industrial and Commercial Development, they also visited C.Y.LEE and Partners Architects, Magi Capital, Chinese Culture University, Emerald Battery Technologies Company, Advanced Lithium Electrochemistry Company, Junong Co. and so on.


Since the formal establishment of the strategic partnership with Taipei WTC last year, this was the first official visit between Chongqing WTC and Taipei WTC's. General Manager Zhao Yongquan, Vice General Manager Huang Wenrong and Director of Marketing Department Wang Ximeng, together with other members from Taipei WTC offered a warm reception. After the discussion, the delegation visited the Taipei WTC's Exhibition Hall, International Business Center, business office and other facilities. 


At the beginning of this forum, Mr. Zhao Yongquan firstly welcomed the arrival of Chongqing WTC delegation and introduced the achievement of Taiwan Trade Fair. He mentioned that during the Taiwan Expo held in the Chongqing Taiwan Week, Chairman of the Taipei WTC, Wang Zhigang came to Chongqing and contributed to the formation of the strategic relationship between the two trade centers. They held high expectation on the cooperation and mutual communication, so as to create a win-win future. Then Chairwoman Ms. Li Shirong expressed thanks and invited them to the 2012 WTCs Association (Chongqing) Development Forum to be held during the Chongqing International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair.
During the visit to the TCICD, the conversation with the members from both sides and related enterprises in Taiwan was held. After the introduction of the Fifteenth Chongqing International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair and reorganized Chongqing WTC, two points were agreed, i.e. the TCICD would attend the fair and sign the contracts to encourage the coming of companies in Taiwan. Setup by the middle-aged entrepreneurs in 1990, the TCICD has covered a large membership of near 2,000 people across the Strait and worldwide, including experts in various industries and influential statesmen. Its businesses range from food, clothing, housing, transportation, education and entertainment to financial services and traditional large-scale industries. The total output of their enterprises accounts for over 60 percent of that of Taiwan.


In addition, the Chongqing WTC called on C.Y.LEE and Partners Architects, which is responsible for the planning and design of Chongqing WTC that would soon enter "Rising Sun Taipei City". Then they paid a visit to the famous Magi Capital, Chinese Culture University famous for its unique teaching methods, as well as Emerald Battery Technologies Company, Advanced Lithium Electrochemistry Company, Tenha Company and other well-known enterprises.
