Turkmenistan and Romania go towards better cooperation

Preparations are being carried out for the fourth meeting of the joint intergovernmental Turkmen Romanian commission for economic, scientific and technological cooperation on August 28-29 in Bucharest (Romania).

As reported on national TV, Turkmenistan's President expressed confidence that the results of the commission meeting will contribute to the further development of a full partnership in all fields between the two countries.

In Ashgabat, during the visit of President Traian Basescu in October 2012 a package of agreements was signed: the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Finance of Turkmenistan and the National Office for the Prevention and Control of Money Laundering of Romania on cooperation in the exchange of financial information related to money laundering and financing of terrorism; a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of transport, news website Trend reports.
