On 11 November 2022, at Binh Duong Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC), MEET KOREA 2022 was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Vietnam), the Embassy of the Republic of Korea (RoK) in Vietnam, and People’s Committee of Binh Duong Province to celebrate the 30^th anniversary of Vietnam – South Korea diplomatic relations.

This event emphasized the closer cooperative relationship between Vietnam and South Korea. Mr. Pham Quang Hieu, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Vietnam) said that, over 30 years, the relationship between Vietnam and South Korea has been continuously consolidated and developed comprehensively in many fields. The Deputy Minister affirmed that Vietnam always considers South Korea as a long-term leading strategic partner and wishes to join hands with South Korea in deepening the two countries' relations with important pillars and driving forces, such as cooperation in economy, trade, and investment.

Up to now, Korean investment capital into Binh Duong is ranked 5^th with nearly 800 projects with total capital around 3.3 billion USD. The province has established friendly cooperation with two Korean localities, Daejeon City since 2005, and Gangnam District of Seoul City in the early of 2022.

Mr. Lee Seok Bong, Deputy Mayor of Daejeon City (RoK) said that, based on the intimate relationship between the two localities over the past 17 years, Daejeon City hopes to boost cultural and sports exchange programs with Binh Duong province. Especially, with its strength in science and technology development, soon, Daejeon City will cooperate with Binh Duong Province to stimulate the development of science technology and high-tech sectors.

Within the MEET KOREA 2022 program, Binh Duong Public Security and Daejeon Metropolitan Police Agency; People’s Committee of Ben Cat Town and the Government of Yeongdo District (Busan City) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen cooperative relation between Binh Duong Province and South Korean partners.

At the event, there was also a MOU signing ceremony between Becamex International Hospital (Binh Duong) and Bumin Hospital Group (Busan City) on cooperation in the development of medical field and community health care.
