HORASIS INDIA MEETING 2022, the practical event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and India (1972-2022), opened in Binh Duong New City, Vietnam over 25-26 September 2022 – co-hosted by Binh Duong Province, Becamex IDC Corporation, and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

The meeting assembled over 500 members of the state and regional governments of India and Vietnam; global CEOs who together with the most senior members of the HORASIS community discussed India’s future within 6 plenaries, 26 panel discussions, and informal meetings.  Among the topics, delegates debated how Vietnam might better act as a hub for India’s expansion into Southeast Asia.

Speaking at the opening ceremony on 26 September 2022, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam stressed that the Vietnamese government has a consistent stance of considering the foreign-invested sector as an important component of the economy. He showed his belief that this meeting will offer a chance for the parties to share their vision, seek opportunities and strengthen cooperation.

Indian Minister of State for External Affairs, Rajkumar Ranjan Singh said that India is open to its investment in and cooperation with Vietnam in general and Binh Duong province. He appreciated the socio-economic achievements gained by the southern province in recent years, believing that with its available conditions, Binh Duong is a good destination for Indian investors and has the potential to develop further.

On the sidelines of the forum, Becamex IDC Corporation and the Confederation of Indian Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation to establish and develop trade links focusing on information technology, healthcare economics, and electronics.

The 14th HORASIS INDIA MEETING has illustrated how cooperation between the host nation, Vietnam, and India is developing synergies for the future. The HORASIS Global Community looks forward to maintaining a global impetus to solving future problems and developing future harmonies.
