Women's’ Empowerment and Nari Shakti Committee - UCCIL in association with the Women Forum of World Trade Center Bhubaneswar organized Nari Shakti Conclave 2024 on 6 March 2024 with a view to showcase as well as promote Women in Entrepreneurship on the occasion of Entrepreneur’s Week and International Women’s Day.

Mr. Sashi Sekhar Mohanty, Managing Director and CEO, Essar Minmet Ltd graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Dr. Rina Routray, the Chairperson of Mahila Atmanirbhar Abhiyaan and Honorary Advisor, Women Forum, WTC Bhubaneswar graced the event as Guest of Honour and in her address deliberated on the gender-bias when it comes to entrepreneurship and the effective measures to address the issue.

Dr. Brahma Mishra, President, UCCIL said “The current scenario of India’s women entrepreneurs is comparatively loweras compared to our neighbouring nation China and most of the European as well as the developed and economically vibrant countries. To achieve the goal of making India self-sufficient, we need to empower our women and handhold them for being self-reliant.”

Ms. Choudhury Jyoshna Das, Honorary Convener – Women Forum, WTC Bhubaneswar and Ms. Jayashree Mishra, the Chairperson of Women's’ Empowerment and Nari Shakti Committee, UCCIL also addressed the gathering.

The conclave witnessed an expowith as many as 42 stalls. The women entrepreneurs showcased products likeProcessed Food Products,Handloom & Textiles, Packaging Material,Handicrafts, Artifacts, Natural Cosmetic Products, Traditional Odia Cuisine, Millet Products, Home Decor, Semi Precious Stones, Handmade Jewellery and much more.

The conclave was held on 6^th March 2024 at Red Cross Bhawan, Bhubaneswar.
