Korea/US Economic Relations: Taking a Closer Look

Korea is one of the United States' most important economic partners. Since a free trade agreement was signed in 2012, US-Korea trade has totaled over $100 billion each year, and Korea has become the fifth fastest growing source of foreign direct investment in the United States. Georgia is one of the largest beneficiaries of this relationship, with over 50 Korean-owned facilities providing over 5,000 jobs. Economic ties with Korea, however, are faced with new political and economic challenges in 2017 that mean careful consideration.

Please join us for a panel discussion on how these issues should be addressed to ensure both countries may continue to benefit from a close economic partnership.
