Navi Mumbai to Have New International Airport Soon

India’s Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi was the Chief Guest at the ground-breaking ceremony of Navi Mumbai International Airport held on February 18,2018 . While inaugurating the project, the Prime Minister mentioned that “ the New Airport will have its First Flight in 2019” and emphasized importance of infrastructure development in the national economy.The New Airport will be a significant achievement for Navi Mumbai region when completed and will provide much greater thrust to the region’s economy.
The Prime Minister also inaugurated the global investors conference “Magnetic Maharashtra”organised by the State Government . He expressed hope that Maharashtra State will have USD 1 trillion economy out of USD 5 trillion worth Indian economy by the year 2025. The State Government signed several MoUs for investment in the State with the Overseas Businesses as well as large Indian houses in diverse areas. An important transportation agreement with Virgin Hyperloop One envisages connecting Mumbai, Navi Mumbai Airport and Pune city and will have just 20 minutes transportation time.
Further the Prime Minister also inaugurated the fourth container terminal at JNPT during his visit to Navi Mumbai. This will facilitate India’s foreign trade substantially.
Navi Mumbai WTC has already become operational in terms of its trade services and has plans to establish various WTC facilities in the next few years. With a vision of “Bringing the World Together” it will significantly contribute to the region’s efforts of globalisation by achieving its mission “To provide Multidimensional Services & Facilities to the Businesses and Governments”.
