BEIJING, CHINA - On 8th November 2014, the APEC Business Leaders’ Night – Welcome Reception and Performance hosted by the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality was held at China World Hotel, a property owned and operated by China World Trade Center (Beijing). 

More than 1,500 representatives from APEC economies took part in the event. Mr. Wang Anshun, mayor of Beijing Municipality, and Mr. Jiang Zengwei, Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade delivered speeches at the event, respectively. In a relaxing and festive cocktail party atmosphere, guests enjoyed China’s classic folk music performance, the capital’s unique intangible cultural heritage demonstration, and dazzling art performances, among others.

The event was an important part of the APEC CEO Summit 2014, which was the most important business event during the APEC Leaders Week, which brought together economic leaders, business decision makers and thought leaders to share their views on issues that promoted regional free trade, innovation, growth and connectivity. 

Besides the event, China WTC (Beijing) also provided outside catering for the APEC Media Center at Yanqi Lake in Huairou District, Beijing, serving thousands of journalists during the APEC Leaders’ Summit Meeting.
