China WTC (Beijing) mourn the loss of Mr. Wan Li

China WTC (Beijing) colleagues mourn on the loss of Mr. Wan Li, former Chairman of the Chinese National People’s Congress, who passed away on 15th July 2015 in Beijing at the age of 99. Among the Chinese people, he is remembered as one of the greatest reformers in China’s history for his contribution to China’s agricultural industry, and was immortalized in the folk saying, “If you want to eat rice, look for Wan Li.” Wan was promoted to Vice Premier in 1980 and elected Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee in 1988. He also played an instrumental role in the establishment, construction and development of China WTC (Beijing).
