Yvonne Botchey, World Trade Center Accra

Yvonne Botchey is the Managing Director of World Trade Centre Accra, where she leads the Centre’s revival as a premier hub for trade, investment, and business connectivity in West Africa. In this role, she is driving WTC Accra’s strategic positioning as the natural landing pad for international businesses entering the region and a launchpad for Ghanaian firms seeking global markets.

A multilingual brand and legal professional, Ms. Botchey brings over 20 years of international experience spanning North America, Europe, and Africa. Her career bridges the worlds of law, financial services, luxury brand management, philanthropy, and corporate affairs—equipping her with a unique ability to connect global strategy with local execution.

Prior to her current appointment, she served as Head of the Embassies, International Organizations, and Airlines Desk at Fidelity Bank Ghana, where she established and grew the Bank’s first business unit dedicated to diplomatic, development, and aviation-sector clients. Before that, she was Head of Marketing at Fidelity Bank and CEO of UMB Foundation, where she spearheaded multi-platform brand and CSR initiatives, including launching the Foundation to lead the Bank’s philanthropic work. As Director of Marketing & Communications at UMB Bank, she oversaw major brand-building campaigns and corporate positioning efforts.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Botchey practiced corporate law at premier law firms in New York, advising Fortune 500 companies on mergers and acquisitions. She is also the founder of YYB Luxury Brand Consulting, through which she advised luxury and emerging brands on growth strategy, storytelling, and global market positioning. A dynamic speaker and thought leader, Yvonne has moderated and spoken on panels across sustainability, philanthropy, trade, and inclusive growth. She is a 92nd Street Y Fashion Industry Fellow, a TEDxAccra speaker, and the recipient of numerous accolades, including being named Pan-African Marketing Professional of the Year at the 2022 Marketing World Awards. She holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School, a law degree from Harvard Law School, and a BA from McGill University.
