Sep 16, 2025

Beijing, China ( September 15, 2025 ) — World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), together with its 100+ delegates representing nearly 20 World Trade Center (WTC) businesses in the Asia Pacific region and beyond, recently presented at the leading international service trade platform — the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) held in Beijing, China from September 10–14, 2025.

Hosted annually by the China Ministry of Commerce and Beijing Municipal Government, CIFTIS is an event focusing on nine areas of service trade — services in culture & tourism; education; health; sports; engineering consulting & construction; telecommunications, computer & information; finance; supply chain & business; and environment. Since 2016, WTCA has served as an official international partner of CIFTIS to co-organize forums with the participation of WTCA members.

The 2025 WTCA @ CIFTIS program featured a 144-square-meter WTCA Pavillion and four forums and seminars co-hosted and/or supported by WTCA. WTCA showcased its global network and renowned brand at the WTCA Pavillion, which was sponsored by regional members and their business partners, including Platinum Sponsor WTC Singapore and Golden Sponsors WTC Hangzhou, Chungrui Hantai Tax Agency, and Development Bank of Singapore (DBS), and co-organized by WTC Haikou. A series of workshops were conducted at the Pavillion centering on the challenges and solutions in international trade.

This year marked the first year that WTCA exhibited at CIFTIS, with active participation from its membership base from the Asia Pacific, North America, and Latin America regions, including more than 100 delegates representing China WTC (Beijing), WTC Chongqing, WTC Dandong, WTC Haikou, WTC Hangzhou, WTC Kuala Lumpur, WTC Osaka, WTC Quanzhou, WTC Saltillo, WTC Shenyang, WTC Suzhou, and WTC Tokyo, as well as business partners from the US and China, among others.

Additionally, for the second consecutive year, WTCA co-hosted the award-winning Seminar on International B2B Cooperation with the Beijing Association for Trade in Services in an effort to bring more global projects and facilitate B2B meetings at CIFTIS. Themed “Service Trade Creates a Bright Future,” the Seminar gathered 300+ participants from over 30 countries/regions.

WTCA also co-hosted the “ 2025 International Consumption Conference ” in partnership with the China General Chamber of Commerce, Beijing Commercial Association, Beijing Association for Trade in Services, and Economic Media Association of China, bringing an impressive lineup of experts and business leaders to discuss the momentum and trends in consumption sectors.

Lastly, WTCA supported the “2025 Global Building Economy Ecosystem Conference” and the “China Enterprise International Compliance Forum” for the first time, where WTCA explored the potential for cooperation between the participants, and the WTC brand and global WTCA network in the sectors of commercial facilities and trade services.

“CIFTIS has become one of the world’s most influential platforms for service trade and international cooperation. WTCA is proud to support this important event, and our long-standing collaboration with CIFTIS reflects our shared mission to foster greater global connectivity and opportunity,” said Crystal Edn, WTCA Executive Director-Member Services. “Every day, our WTC-branded businesses facilitate introductions, partnerships and investment opportunities between local businesses and international markets. By working together — through forums like CIFTIS and through global platforms like WTCA — we can create forests of opportunity, resilient partnerships and sustainable growth.”

On September 10 , Ms. Edn, on behalf of WTCA, was invited to attend the grand opening of CIFTIS — the “Global Trade in Services Summit” — where Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to CIFTIS and Chinese Vice Prime Minister Mr. Ding Xuexiang delivered a keynote speech. Before the Summit began, Ms. Edn was also interviewed by China Central Television ( CCTV ), which was featured later on that day’s CCTV News segment. Scott Wang, WTCA Vice President, Asia Pacific, also attended the program and delivered opening remarks at the 2025 Global Building Economy Ecosystem Conference and moderated panel discussions at the Seminar on International B2B Cooperation.

To celebrate another gathering of WTCA members in Beijing, WTCA hosted a WTC Roundtable on the afternoon of September 13 to share updates, exchange thoughts and ideas, and learn about insights and opportunities for cooperation from major WTC businesses.
