WTCA Board of Directors Elections Announced

WTCA announced its “Call for Nominations” for the 2025 Board of Directors election this week. There will be 12 open Board seats on the 2025 ballot, with at least one open seat in each of our five regions.

The nomination process will, once again, be based on the direct participation by WTCA’s Regular Members. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to play an active role in WTCA’s governance and help us shape the future of the Association.

The Nomination & Compensation Committee (N&CC) will oversee this open nomination process. Here is how it will work:

• April 28 – June 13: Each Regular Member in good standing may submit the name of a proposed candidate for the Board of Directors using our “Call for Nominations Form.” The Form must be completed and returned by email to WTCA’s Board Secretary Scott Richie by June 13, 2025. All qualifying WTCA Members received an email with the nomination form and directions.
• June 14 – July 7: Based on the qualifying criteria established by the WTCA Bylaws and described in the Call for Nominations Form, the N&CC, chaired by Scott Center, will vet the qualifications of each proposed candidate.
• July 30 – 31: The N&CC will present its list of eligible candidates to the full Board for review. Nominees will be notified on August 1 of the Board decision on their candidacy, and the guidelines and timing for campaigning.
• August 4 – 29: During this “campaign period,” candidates will be able to reach out to Members to explain their qualifications and interests in running for the Board.
• September 1 – 30: A ballot with the names of all qualified candidates in each region will be distributed on September 1 to all WTCA Regular Members who are eligible to vote. The ballot will describe the procedure for casting your vote by using our secure online voting service. The election results will be announced during the first week in October.
