WTCA APRO Hosted Online 2022 APAC Regional Meeting

The WTCA® Asia Pacific Regional Office (APRO) recently hosted its virtual 2022 WTCA Asia Pacific Regional Meeting on September 21. The meeting brought together more than 60 delegates representing over 50 WTC® businesses from the region. 

The APAC Regional Meeting featured WTCA updates including welcome remarks and briefings from HQs, the region and Member Advisory Councils (MACs) and the WTCA Foundation (WTCAF). It was followed by the WTC update session where 17 WTCA Members shared their WTC operation and progresses. Afterward, a sharing and discussion session was held on WTC service development in the region which included four WTC service case studies representing broad spectrum of markets, business models, development stages and unique challenges.  

Simultaneous interpretation was offered in the Zoom platform, allowing for this regional meeting to cover all sub-regions in both English and Chinese. This new approach helps improve the inclusiveness and connectivity of regional WTC businesses, and enhance the impact of regional meeting. It also paves the way for the single in-person/hybrid regional meeting which is expected to take place as soon as next year as the region is gradually opening up for international travel.
