WINNIPEG, CANADA - The U.S. Department of State sponsored a multi-regional project entitled International Trade and the Global Economy from June 5 to 23, 2017 which provided a broad perspective on U.S trade policy.

Individuals and representatives of organizations travelled from around the world to the United States for this 3-week long educational program. A total of 12 participants took part and offered a variety of different perspectives on international trade.

Derek Earl, Vice-President of the WTC Winnipeg received a special invitation to take part in the session of the program as one of only two participants from Canada.

“This well-organized program was a unique and positive experience. The quality of the content presented was quite strong and lead to important discussions on all aspects to consider in Free Trade Agreements,” explains Derek Earl.

The program tour presented an opportunity for Mr. Earl to visit the Northern California World Trade Center as well as meet with Allyson McKithen of the World Trade Center Washington and get to know the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center facility.
