WTC TRIESTE PART OF THE “BELT AND ROAD FORUM”

On March 26th, WTC Trieste was involved in to the event “Belt and Road Forum”, organized by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, in cooperation with the Italian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Italy China Foundation and the China Chamber of International Commerce.

The aim of the event was encouraging business opportunities between Italian and Chinese companies, with specific focus on Chongqing economic area.

In the morning, the program included different panels which have highlighted several themes, including new opportunities for trade and investment through the "New Silk Road", in the internal areas of China and join activities to be developed in Trieste, specifically in the Free Custom Areas of the Port.

In the afternoon, the program included a series of B2B meetings between Chinese companies of different fields and local companies, with the aim of finding synergies and meeting points, developing commercial and business opportunities.

It has been a relevant chance for the WTC Trieste and for the local authorities to be recognized as strategic partner for the economic relations between Europe and China.
