MUMBAI, INDIA - WTCA and WTC Mumbai jointly organized training program on WTC Trade Services during June 3 – 5, 2015 at the WTC Mumbai. As many as 30 Delegates representing 20 WTCs in the Asia Pacific Region participated in this program organized for the first time in India. Mr. Scott Wang, Vice President Asia Pacific, represented the World Trade Centers Association. From WTC Mumbai as many as 10 Delegates participated including its Vice Chairman, Executive Director, as well as Senior Executives. WTC Taipei representatives specially participated to present their WTC case study.
Mr. Vijay Kalantri, WTCA Board Director and Vice Chairman, WTC Mumbai welcomed the delegates and highlighted the importance of the programme, followed by the presentation of Mr. Scott Wang on the role of WTCA and how WTCs can derive benefits thereof. Remote sessions were also organized with WTCA and WTC Sao Paulo.
Delegates from participating WTCs made presentations of their activities and plans and had a brain storming session on future plans. Experts/Guest speakers highlighted importance of trade services such as: Trade Information, Exhibitions, Events, E-commerce etc.

Mr. Scott Wang expressed satisfaction that more than 95% WTC license/option holders from India participated. He also expressed that more such programs in future would serve the felt need of this (Asia Pacific) Region.
