WTC SP promotes the Polish Railway Industries

SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL â€“ The World Trade Center São Paulo, in partnership with The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Poland promoted the conference Poland on the Rails (Polônia Nos Trilhos), hosted at Hotel Novotel Center Norte, São Paulo, November 12th.

The WTC São Paulo was able to gather over 90 important Brazilian players, such as importers, distributors, class associations, national brands and specialized press with the 7 Polish companies and presented the Polish national industry latest novelties and predictions.

Those subjects were vastly explored by Mr. Bogdan Waligórski, who discussed about the Polish industrial base for the production of vehicles on rails, who was followed by Mrs. Dorota Daszkowska-Kosewska of  GdaÅ„sk International Fair, bringing information on how organizations and institutions supports entrepreneurs in the transport sector on rails in Poland.

The conference was followed by a lunch with the following Polish equipment producers:

Why Brazil? 

The Brazilian urban mobility has been under discussion over the last months and was highlighted at important debates and announcements of new projects and investments in the sector. 

The investments above US$50 billion on infrastructure announced by the government, of which US$45 billion will be invested into 11.000 km of railways and other public and private projects, reflecting positively in the sector that is preparing to set a new position at the Brazilian transportation matrix, that appoints the capacity to manufacture 250 locomotives, 12.000 wagons and 1.000 passengers car per year.

Polish Railway Equipment Industry

The Polish market of transport and communications is competitive thanks to very large railway heritage, the experience of many years of well trained personnel, the productive potential, the optimal organization and efficient system of management of the transport system.

The strength and the potential of the Polish sector of rolling stock are factors that decided on the location in Poland major foreign investment. Large companies in the rail sector with such Stadler, Bombardier and Alstom has its plants in Poland.

Achievements of Polish companies that have traditions of many years are due mainly to technological thinking of Polish engineers. PESA Bydgoszcz, NEWAG the city of Nowy Sacz and the HCP Fabryka Pojazdów Szynowych of Poznan conquer markets abroad. The Solaris Bus & Coach is a leading bus production in Poland, specializing in municipal transport, conquer the world in a dynamic way.

Pesa, Newag Group and FPS are the most important companies in the Polish market for rolling stock manufacturers.

They produce not only for the Polish market, but increasingly come to competitions abroad, making the rail industry one of the most successful sectors of the economy.
