“ I am very glad to receive such a respected title and thank the jury for appreciating our work. After all, it is a reward for the whole team of WTC Moscow whose members tend to be effective managers. Management, as you know, is both a science and an art, an ideal effective manager ought to be able to guide a company in such a way that the desired results would be achieved at the lowest costs and yield maximum profit. Unfortunately, it is difficult to attain this ideal; one can only continue to strive for it. It is very important, to engage the human capital in this process of change. After all, the successful implementation of the tasks depends on employees, on their performance, on their determination and interest in the development of the company”, Mr. Salamatov said.

WTC Moscow uses the quality management system based on the requirements of ISO 9000 standards, as well as on lean - Japanese technology of continuous improvement, that supposes maximum involvement of the whole team in the process. Promotion of foreign trade is an obligatory feature of 329 centers like ours operating worldwide. As a result using lean we have achieved significant outcomes - over the last year and a half it was searched out that 61 out of 134 technologies presented should be improved; change and management plan for business processes and for efficient use of personnel has been developed.

It should be noted that our organization is unique, it combines four powerful businesses: the largest five-star hotel in Moscow, the largest convention center, leased areas and several restaurants. In addition, WTC Moscow is an expert assessment platform on issues of world trade, with the special project “Russia in the WTO” where we explain to entrepreneurs and civil servants the WTO regulations and advise them on possible solutions for their controversies, publish analytical data. Introduction of the corporate management technologies based on the involvement of staff in the transformation processes, in competitiveness growth, as well as the implementation of ethical standards in the company's operations will improve general corporate culture. So it is safe to say that in our country, the level of corporate culture has substantially grown in recent years.

Over the past decade we have developed a lot of cooperative ties with our western partners, e.g. joint projects, our markets are interdependent in many ways. Even with the current restrictions business will seek the opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation. The question is not about evading the sanctions. Europe and Russia are key trading partners and we do have areas for cooperation. I am convinced that business and cultural ties will help us to overcome current crisis in political sphere.

As for the, so to say, “eastern vector”, I believe it opens new opportunities for our country, new markets and prospects of finding new partners; cooperation in this area should promote further development of the Far East region in the first place. Today’s world evolves the production chains and cooperation ties that involve companies from dozens of countries. Our task is to find our own place there, to realize our competitive advantages, and not to isolate ourselves.
