WTC Rotterdam presents its vision of the future

Sep 25, 2015

ROTTERDAM, NETHERLANDS - The first Back in Business Drink was held on Thursday 3 September at the World Trade Center Rotterdam. The drink was jointly hosted by WTC Rotterdam and Postillion Convention Centre in WTC Rotterdam. All the users of WTC Rotterdam were invited. Over 125 guests - tenants, members of the WTC Rotterdam Business Club and regular visitors – created a very pleasant ambiance. The public, the WTC Rotterdam Art Gallery, the DJ and the snacks meant that the drink was a great success.

During the Back in Business Drink, Bas Jochims, Head of Asset Management Bouwinvest Offices, gave a brief update about the WTC Rotterdam. Bouwinvest, whose portfolio also includes WTC The Hague and the Amsterdam Olympic Stadium, took ownership of the building in 2015. Bouwinvest has spent the last few months establishing the Rotterdam organisation and continuing all the processes in the WTC. It has also been working on plans for the future, including a radical upgrade of the high-rise building. Much thought is being given to the further enlivening of WTC Rotterdam. The ideas for the future are summarised in a video:

The sky is the limit

As of March this year, Postillion Hotels has taken over the operation of the Congress & Event Center in the World Trade Center Rotterdam. Apart from renting the exhibition halls and meeting rooms, it also recently took over the running of the current restaurant Brasserie Staal. Postillion has ideas for its further development in the WTC building, such as opening a company restaurant for the tenants, a hotel and a restaurant/skybar on the 23rd floor.
