WTC Pune Signs MoU with Brazil Innovation Body

World Trade Center Pune (WTC Pune) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation of Mato Grosso, Brazil (SECITEC-MT), and the Indo-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBRACIN).

This strategic partnership marks an important milestone in strengthening India–Brazil relations, particularly in trade, technology, and knowledge exchange.

The signing ceremony was attended by key dignitaries including Sagar Chordia, Chairman of World Trade Center Pune , and Niraj Khinvasara, Executive Director of World Trade Center Pune , together with prominent representatives from Brazil: Marcelo Vieira Vitorazzi, Municipal Mayor ; Rafael Bello Bastos, Head of Mato Grosso Technology Park ; Allan Batista Camilo , Director president - Mato Grosso. Their participation emphasized the strategic importance of this collaboration in deepening India–Brazil business relations.

Shared Goals for Collaboration

Through this MoU, all parties have committed to working together to:

  • Promote trade and investment opportunities between India 🇮🇳 and Brazil

  • Facilitate consultancy and knowledge-sharing for mutual growth

  • Provide reliable services that support and strengthen bilateral business activities

Initial Areas of Focus

The collaboration will initially concentrate on IT/Technology and Pharma, two rapidly growing sectors where India and Brazil share immense synergies. By connecting industry stakeholders and creating cross-border opportunities, the initiative will lay the foundation for impactful partnerships.

Speaking on the signing, representatives highlighted that the MoU goes beyond traditional cooperation. It is a step toward fostering innovation, sustainable economic growth, and global competitiveness.
