WTC Pune conducts 2 AEO Workshops -Trade Education

Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) accreditation is an effort of the World Customs Organisation (WCO). 148 countries of the 180 members of WCO are signatories to the global AEO Program as it emphasises security and data safeguard of International Cargo moving through the supply chain - making it a true value chain between global vendors and overseas end-users.

WTC Pune in its Trade Education initiatives hosted its 3rd AEO Training Workshop supported by Directorate of International Customs (DIC) New Delhi. Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs #CBIC, Govt. of India.

The empowered training team of Mr. Pawan Kumar, Additional Commissioner, Mr. Maneesh Dudpuri, Mr. D.S. Maan – Asst. Commissioner all from Pune Customs alongwith Mr. Nitin Mishra from DIC Delhi conducted the training program.

Deccan Chambers of Commerce Industries & Agriculture (DCCIA) alongwith EXIM Chamber of Commerce and Allied Industries, Pune were co-hosts. Participation of 83 individual participants representing 55 #Pune corporates at this WTC Pune event was a talking point.

A trade facilitation MoU was signed by Mr. H P Srivastava, VC, DCCIA with Mr.Sagar Chordia, MD, WTC Pune at the AEO Workshop.

Mr. Shrikant Kamat Partner of BDO India, Mr. Bhadresh Vyas Director of SKP India LLP, Ms. Swati Agarwal of EY alongwith Mr. Tukaram Gaikwad conducted a case study session and answered queries at the AEO Program held at Pune on 08.06.2018.

This was the 3rd AEO Workshop in series being conducted in Pune Commissionerate by the World Trade Center Pune. Earlier at the 2nd AEO Workshop the trainers included Mr. Jagreeti Negi, Commissioner of Customs, Mr. Mohan Rama Rao, Joint Commissioner from Mumbai NCH Customs. Mr. Pawan Kumar, Jt. Commissioner of Customs Pune delivered the keynote address to 74 participants from 41 industries.

During the 2 AEO Training interactive workshops accredited AEO corporate including GE, LG India, Honeywell, Armstrong, KSH Distriparks, Avignon Shipping, Samson Freight were felicitated by the dignitaries including Mr. Sagar Chordia, Managing Director of WTC Pune.

WTC Pune recently hosted WTCA Regional Director Mr. Zubin Zail and a delegation from WTC Navi Mumbai led by Mr. Jayant Ghate. WTC Pune & Mr. Nikhil Oswal were felicitated by Indian Institute of Materials Management and Interjas – Mytrux at their trade events.
