WTC NOIDA HOSTS HIGH POWERED UZBEKISTAN DELEGATION

To foster & strengthen the trade relations between the India & Uzbekistan, Mr. Abdulaziz Kamilov- Hon’ble Minister of Foreign Affairs, & Mr. Elyor Ganiev- Hon’ble Minister of Commerce from the Republic of Uzbekistan visited India; accompanied by a High-Powered Business Delegation. WTC Noida & VERBIND- Its Trade Services Arm supported a reception on August 23rd, 2017, for the visiting delegates; that witnessed the benign presence of high officials of varied sectors working towards promotion of trade and investment relations between both the countries.

Mr. Kamilov said, “India is a strategic partner for Uzbekistan with a current bilateral trade of US$ 320 million which has potential to reach 1 billion in the coming years.” Again, Mr. Ganiev also highlighted the innumerable opportunities for trade and investment between Uzbekistan and India and how both governments can enhance ease of doing business through by participating in the International North South Transport Corridor project involving ship, rail and road route between India, Russia, Iran, Europe and Central Asia.

Ms. Khair Ull Nissa Sheikh, Executive Director of WTC Noida & VERBIND; offered her thanks to the visiting delegation and emphasized that the relationship between India and Uzbekistan will further be bolstered and the achievements of WTC Noida and VERBIND are commemorative of the commitment which the organization holds in promotion of trade and business.
