WTC Navi Mumbai and FIEO Workshop on Export Busine

MUMBAI, INDIA - WTC Navi Mumbai, in association with the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO Western Region , Mumbai) conducted a Training Workshop on “ How to Start Export Business “ on February 17 , 2017 at the WTC Office. More than 45 entrepreneurs and business people participated and took advantage of this Workshop.

FIEO is an apex agency of the Ministry of Commerce ( Govt. of India ) and organises everal programs for Export Development. Its Deputy Director at Mumbai, Mr. Dhananjay Sharma was present at the Workshop . He explained the services of FIEO and its role in promotion of exports. He also touched upon status and trends in India’s exports and outlined steps and measures needed to develop exports further.
Mr. Jayant Ghate, WTC Navi Mumbai Advisor, highlighted the role of  the WTCA Network in trade development and the benefits derived by WTCA's Membership all over the world. He emphasized the importance of Reciprocity among WTCs and how WTC Navi Mumbai is helping the Members in export promotion. Guest Faculty on this occasion was Mr. Nakul Bagkar, an Expert on International Trade . He explained various dimensions of the theme in simple terms ... Why to Export, Where to Export, When to Export and How to Export. He covered Export Policy & Procedural aspects, Export Incentives, Precautions to be taken while executing expor operations, Documentation and How to win repeat export orders.

Participants represented diverse areas of businesses such as from Digital Marketing ,
Product Manufacturing , Banks , Export Merchants and so on. Few of them came from outstation. They were asking a number of questions & queries to the speakers from
time to time and gave positive feedback at the end of the workshop. They expressed
that the WTC and FIEO should organise more such programs since it is the need of the Navi Mumbai region.
