WTC Moscow: In honor of the Great Victory Day

May 11, 2020

In honor of the Great Victory Day: On the Victory Day’s eve WTC Moscow congratulated World War II veterans – former WTC employees - on this sacred holiday for each of us.

"75 years have passed since the Victory day on May 9, 1945. But every year on this day, our hearts and souls are overwhelmed with emotions — we feel pain and sorrow for the price we had to pay in the name of the Victory and the number of lives the war took. We are joyful and proud to be the victorious, brave, heroic, courageous nation and feel love and respect for veterans."

This May the WTC of Moscow was not able to organize the same outstanding events to celebrate the anniversary of the Great Victory as in previous years.
One more significant event was postponed until September - “the History Cinema Days”. Last year was the first time this festival was held in honor of the Great Victory Day. It was organized by the WTC Moscow and the Victory Museum with the support of the Russian Military Historical Society and the “Cinema Production” Center.
The history of WTC Moscow is inextricably connected with our veterans. The department for work with war veterans was established in 1980 when WTC Moscow was under commissioning.

In 2003 the public organization of World War II veterans, labor veterans and retired workers - former WTC employees was established at the WTC Moscow. In the same year the joint stock meeting took a resolution to provide financial and social assistance to the members of the organization.

The Victory Day is the most significant and valuable holiday for all of us. We always celebrate it nationwide with all the solemnity.

On the Victory Day’s eve WTC Moscow congratulated World War II veterans – former WTC employees - on this sacred holiday for each of us. The memorable Victory Day gifts, letters of congratulations signed by the Board of Directors, the Executive Administration and the entire WTC staff were presented to the veterans in order to support them during these extraordinary times and surround with care those who was selflessly bringing the Victory closer by expressing courage and devotion to the country.
