LUGANO, SWITZERLAND - BILATERAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SWITZERLAND AND ITALY

The 23rd annual assembly of the World Trade Center Lugano, which took place at the Hotel Splendide Royal in centre Lugano on 28th September 2015, has been honored with two prestigious hosts who held a debate about “bilateral relationship between Switzerland and Italy”:

H.E. Ambassador Giancarlo Kessler, Ambassador of Switzerland to Italy, Malta and San Marino and the lobbyist-ambassador of the economic world of the Canton Ticino, in Berlin and Milan, Lawyer Mr. Michele Rossi.

The theme of this event, which is exceptionally topical, attracted a large number of WTC Lugano’s association business members and Swiss and Italian professionals experts in finance, economics and accounting.

A number of interesting arguments and visions such as the entry into force of the Italian law on the return of capital, the subsequent agreements on financial and tax issues between Switzerland and Italy, the fact that these agreements have not remove Switzerland from the blacklist for what concerns deductibility of costs tax purposes, have been put forward.

The audience had the opportunity to learn from the host's experiences, to share thoughts and questions raised in discussion with the interaction of Mr. Lino Terlizzi, journalist in economics and vice-Director of the Corriere del Ticino, the regional daily newspaper in the Canton of Ticino.

As usual for WTC Lugano’s annual assembly, the event concluded with a cocktail reception, offering business members and guests the opportunity to strengthen new business relationships.
