WTC Leeuwarden Business Club Seminar: EU General D

On February 8, WTC Leeuwarden organized a Business Club seminar on the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This new regulation will go into effect on May 25th, 2018. Specialists from the WTC Leeuwarden members De Boer & Egberts Law Firm, Meeús Risk Managers and Arrix IT talked about the subject.
Topics discussed during the session, amongst others, were the effects of Brexit (EU Position Paper, TF50 (2017) - Commission to UK) and the protection requirements when transferring personal data from the European Union to the United States, in support of transatlantic commerce. Being a successful and a reliable international business partner also requires in-depth knowledge of the new Data Protection Regulation. The fellow WTC members who participated in our seminar are now ready for the future!
