WTC Las Vegas Successfully Welcomes IPW 2021

Oct 01, 2021

From Sept. 18-22, the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), which is also the World Trade Center Las Vegas (WTCLV) was thrilled to welcome IPW 2021 to the new West Hall.

The U.S. Travel Association’s annual international inbound travel trade show, IPW brings together international buyers, media and U.S. representatives. This was its 52nd annual event. Much of the focus of IPW 2021 was reuniting and rebuilding the global travel industry, providing attendees an in-person opportunity to renew relationships and conduct business. Past IPW’s have generated more than $5.5 billion in future travel by connecting US travel exhibitors with travel buyers and media.

For this year’s event U.S. Travel worked with premier sponsor Brand USA and the event hosts, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, which owns and operates the LVCC/WTCLV facility, and Travel Nevada to reunite the global travel community.

IPW is the single largest gathering of the global network of stakeholders dedicated to driving travel to the United States, and the LVCC/WTCLV was incredibly proud to bring this extremely important group together. The event was expected to bring together 600 buyers and 300 media from 52 countries. There were 2,600 total registrations, including more than 700 international registrations, and nearly 46,000 prescheduled appointments.

The event’s trade show floor was kicked off on Sept. 20 with a ribbon cutting and the exciting announcement that international air travel to the United States will reopen to fully vaccinated global travelers this November.
