WTC Goa organizes Seminar on Goods & Services Tax

World Trade Center Goa along with World Trade Center Mumbai organized a Seminar on Good and Services Tax (GST) on 13th August 2019 at Margao, Goa.
The objective of the Seminar was to help participants to understand the latest amendments to the Finance Act (No 2) of 2019 as well as to update the process of Returns Filing.

Mr. Satheesh Kumar T, Assistant Commissioner, CGST, Goa made a presentation on key changes made in Finance Act (No2) of 2019 and explained in detail the amendments made to Section 10,  22,  25, 31A,  39, 49,  50 and Section 54.

CA Manjunath Hegde, Partner, M R Hegde & Associates, Goa, gave a presentation on GSTR-9 offline tool and highlighted the important aspects that have to be taken into consideration while preparing GSTR-9 return offline. CA Hegde, also gave an in-depth explanation on Form GSTR-9C offline tool.

The Seminar was well attended and the participants expressed that it was of great help to them for understanding the latest amendments of the Finance Act (No2) of 2019 as well as final return filing.

Mr. Chetan Lakhani, Director, Dimac Organics Pvt. Ltd, and Member World Trade Center Goa, proposed the Vote of Thanks.

Earlier, Mr. Cyril Desouza, Assistant Director, Trade Promotion, World Trade Center Goa, in his welcome address appraised the delegates and participants on the World Trade Centers Association Network and also gave a brief update of the upcoming programmes that the Center will be organizing to facilitate business.
