WTC Bhubaneswar Partners with World Skill Center

Bhubaneswar, India – World Trade Center Bhubaneswar (WTC Bhubaneswar) and World Skill Center (WSC), Odisha's premier advanced skill development institution, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on June 5, 2026, marking a significant step towards strengthening the linkage between skill development and global trade ecosystems.
The MoU was signed during an exposure visit organized by WTC Bhubaneswar to the World Skill Center campus, where WTC members had the opportunity to explore the institution's state-of-the-art infrastructure, advanced training facilities, and industry-oriented programs designed to prepare youth for the evolving global workforce.
The partnership aims to facilitate international industry engagement, skill exchange initiatives, internships, apprenticeships, knowledge-sharing programs, and global exposure opportunities for skilled talent. By leveraging the worldwide network of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) and the world-class training ecosystem of the World Skill Center, the collaboration seeks to create pathways for globally relevant competencies and enhanced employability.
The MoU was exchanged between Ms. A. Rajyalaxmi, Regional Director, World Trade Center Bhubaneswar, and Dr. Subhanga Kishore Das, Principal, World Skill Center, in the presence of Shri Rashmi Ranjan Mohapatra, CEO, World Skill Center, along with senior leadership teams from both organizations.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Rajyalaxmi highlighted the growing importance of aligning skill development initiatives with international trade and business opportunities. She emphasized that the partnership would help create meaningful avenues for Odisha's skilled youth to engage with global industries and emerging international markets.
The collaboration reflects a shared vision of promoting workforce excellence, fostering industry-academia linkages, and positioning Odisha as a hub for globally competitive talent. Through this strategic alliance, both organizations aim to contribute towards building a future-ready workforce capable of meeting the demands of an increasingly interconnected global economy.
The event concluded with an interactive campus tour for WTC members, showcasing World Skill Center's advanced laboratories, Centers of Excellence, and innovative learning environments that are shaping the next generation of skilled professionals.
