WTC Bhubaneswar organized Export-Import Seminar

MUMBAI, INDIA - WTC Bhubaneswar organized a one-day Seminar on “How to Start Export-Import Business” on 16th August 2014 at the KIIT Convention Centre, Bhubaneswar, in association with KIIT-TBI and NI-MSME. This was the first seminar organized by WTC Bhubaneswar after its official launch by Hon’ble Chief Minister on 8th July 2014. The seminar was attended by around 100 delegates from industry especially from SMEs.
Mr. S.R.Binju, AGM-International Logistics, HEG limited and faculty of WTC Mumbai explained the importance of back-up services and information for entering the global markets and facing the international competition as well as importance of World Trade Centers and its global network for a modern businessman / entrepreneur. He examined in detail the logistical aspects of export-import business such as :Pre-shipment stage, shipment stage, post-shipment stage , Analysis of dock stuffing, factory stuffing, ICD , Types of ships, types of containers and advantages of containerization , Selection of shipping lines, Cost cutting techniques in exports, etc. He discussed the Government schemes for exporters, Tax benefits, Exim Banking and Finance.
