WTC Bhubaneswar conducts Session on GST SVS 2019

World Trade Center Bhubaneswar in collaboration with Office of the Commissionerate GST, Customs & Excise, Government of India organized a Session on “GST - Sabka Vishwas Scheme 2019” here in IDCO Tower, Bhubaneswar. 

As the nation is experiencing the biggest tax reforms ever in the form of GST the topic has been demanding constant orientation enabling the entrepreneurs to appropriately execute tax filing, refunds and other compilations procedures. The session emphasized on The Sabka Vishwas (Legacy Dispute Resolution) Scheme 2019 which is a one-time measure for liquidation of past disputes of Central Excise and Service Tax as well as to ensure disclosure of unpaid taxes by a person eligible to make a declaration.

Mr. Naresh Penumaka, IRS, Chief Commissioner GST, Customs & Excise, Government of India” graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion Sri. Penumaka addressed the MSMEs and exporters of the State and urged them to act as brand ambassadors for encouraging the fraternity in taking advantage of the Scheme. He further shared the statistics of the position of Odisha vis-Ă -vis other states as far as tax collection is concerned. 

Mr.B.K. Kar, Principal Commissioner, GST addressed the participants and shared his insights on the Sabka Vishwas Scheme 2019 and highlighted the provisions of the scheme as well as indirect taxation. Also present on the occasion were Smt. Anuradha Mishra, IRS Additional Commissioner, Sri. G C Nath, Superintendent, and officials of WTC Bhubaneswar.
