WINNIPEG, CANADA - It’s going to be Winnipeg’s hottest summer in half a century!

The 50th Canada Summer Games will be held in Winnipeg this summer during Canada’s 150th birthday. These important games are estimated to have an economic impact of $153 million. Over 4,000 athletes will compete in 16 different sports such as soccer, rowing, beach volleyball and open water swimming.

Mariette Mulaire, President and CEO of the WTC Winnipeg was invited to Co-Chair the Board of Directors for the Games. She enjoys illustrating the parallel between athletes and business people: individuals who are committed to their goals with a constant desire to surpass their limits and outshine the competition.

“Just like athletes, the business people we work with, are interested in what the world has to offer them,” explains Ms. Mulaire. “Through WTC Winnipeg’s “coaching”, we see the potential for both athletes and businesses to attain their goals.”

WTC Winnipeg is proud to be intrinsically involved in this prominent project and is thankful for the business community’s engagement through generous sponsorships to these Games.
