TAIPEI TAIWAN - On March 9, 2015, Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) hosted a spring reception at the TWTC Club in Taipei. The event was joined by a large group of representatives to Taiwan as well as members of the local business communities and associations. The center expressed deep appreciation for the long-standing support from its partners and vowed to further strengthen their mutual ties and cooperation in the future.
The reception, held shortly after the Lunar New Year holiday, was attended by over 200 guests, including representatives from the foreign representative offices of over 50 countries in Taiwan and the heads of the local business communities and associations.

“Despite the instability in the global market, Taiwan was able to overcome the challenge and hit a record high of US$314 billion in exports, a nearly 3 percent growth over 2013,” remarked TWTC Chairman Francis Liang in his opening address. The TWTC Chairman also thanked the attendees for their support and collaboration. “Over the past year, we organized more than 260 global marketing events, which means that we had at least one trade-related event every working day. In total, we invited a record 83,000 international buyers to Taiwan, another proven result of collaboration”, Liang said.

It was the first time that TWTC, Taiwan’s foremost trade promotion organization, hosted the event which aimed to gather both local and foreign representatives and enhance their mutual collaboration and partnership.
